Everything but you is perfect
have you noticed?
all the dancers are dancing but you
who are dancing too
and think you’re not
are the only hair
out of place?
The only one anywhere
in the universe
or the galaxy
or the solar system
or the planet
or your mind
who doesn’t know
we’re actually the sun.
There are other suns
in other places
but in our place
we are the sun.
The ones that don’t
know it yet
are watching the horizon
waiting for us to rise.
“We are here,” they say
“we are there we know it”
as we wait for us
to come.
